17.05.2023Kyrkslätts församlingar in Kirkkonummi has purchased 655 books from leading Ukrainian publisher
Dear friends, we’d like to inform you about a wonderful project, thanks to which the libraries of the metropolitan area have been supplied with high quality Ukrainian books for children and young adults. Kyrkslätts församling in Kirkkonummi has purchased 655 copies from leading Ukrainian publishers such as Portal, Vydavnytstvo, VSL, Книголав, Чорні вівці, Discursus, A-BA, Tempora, book shelf, Братське, Академія, Artbooks.
The funds for the project were raised at a charity concert organized in Kirkkonummi by Ia Adlercreutz. The total sum was 6600 euros.
The partner in purchasing these Ukrainian books was the Ukrainian Association in Finland, presented by board member Nataliya Teramae.
The books have been sent to libraries, schools and kindergartens in Kirkkonummi. Some have been donated to Helmet and are now available throughout Finland. Some have become a part of the library collection of the Ukrainian Association in Finland.
