EVENT: Mariupol: russian war crime

SUNDAY, APRIL 10, FROM 12:00 TO 18:00, Rautatientori, Helsinki

According to Ukrainian authorities, at least 210 children have died in Mariupol, besieged by Russia, by early April. On March 16, 2022, the Russian military bombed the Mariupol Theater, more than 1,300 women and children. The word “CHILDREN” was written in giant letters on both sides of the theater. The Ukrainian Association in Finland organizes the event to honor the memory of the children killed in Mariupol. The organizers will bring 210 pairs of children´s shoes in front of the theatre and write the same text, “дети” – children, which Mariupol families had written hoping to protect their children from Russian bombs. The aim of the event is to draw public attention to inhumane crimes committed by russian army against the Ukrainian people. We invite everyone to join the opening at 12:00 or stop during the day (12:00-18:00).
