Since 24.02.2022 the activities of the Ukrainian Association in Finland have been boosted tremendously by addressing the needs of the expanding Ukrainian community in Finland.
We are happy to report that the scale of our work was acknowledged by the Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations (STEA) that has proposed to a Ministry of Social Affairs and Health to provide us with a grant of 390 000 euros for years 2023-2024.
Purpose of the grant is to maintain the well-being of people who have fled Ukraine. This is achieved though counselling, service guidance, and other activities conducted at our Help Centers for Ukrainians. Help Centers demonstrated their effectiveness as platforms for aid and service providers, as a safe and trusted spaces for people who fled the war zone.
The Association together with its partners will continue supporting Ukrainians via its Help Centers in Helsinki and Espoo in the future. We understand the needs of people whose peaceful life was destroyed by russia’s full-scale invasion and we are there to help.
