Lippulaiva Help Center was founded in Espoo by the Association of Ukrainians in Finland. It serves Ukrainians who recently arrived in Finland. The Help Center runs entirely on volunteers, and most of our volunteers are themselves refugees who came to Finland at the beginning of 2022.
We collect donations for Ukrainians and distribute them to those in need, because the many have arrived in Finland with hardly any clothes and without household goods, and the financial support received from the state with temporary protection status is very small.
As donations, we especially accept food that can be kept dry, such as eggs, flakes, flour, cooking oil and canned goods, as well as hygiene products and small household goods. We collect seasonal clothes from time to time, and we announce it in our Facebook group. There is usually a constant need for children’s clothes in good condition.
K-Supermarket Lippulaiva is also involved in our collection: in front of them you will find a cart or a roll box where you can leave a donation.
In addition to distributing donations, we organize leisure and cultural events aimed at Ukrainians, as well as counseling and support services aimed at integration. We inform about them in our Facebook page.
We also collect donations to be sent to Ukraine in cooperation with the autaukrainaa.fi service. From there, the donations are transported directly to the Logistics Center, where they are sorted, packed and sent to Ukraine. If you want to donate goods or foodstuffs to Ukraine, you can check current needs here: autaukrainaa.fi
We are located in Espoo on the 2nd floor of the shopping center Lippulaiva, opposite the playground
Address of the shopping center: Espoonlahdenkatu 8
