Poem and Story, 24.10 at 16, Helsinki book fair

Today at the stand of the Ukrainian Association in Finland join Finnish producer Mikko-Pekka Hanski for a heartfelt encounter with Ukrainian literature and lived experience.

Hanski will read a poem by Ukrainian writer Symonenko and share vivid stories from his travels across Ukrainian cities — tales of people, resilience, and creativity.

 Through words and reflection, the event builds a bridge between Finnish and Ukrainian cultures, showing how art and empathy can connect nations in times of change.
