Join us for a celebration of music and hope across cultures! The International School of Music Finland and the Ukrainian Association in Finland are proud to present a concert featuring music from India, Ukraine, USA, and more! Three culturally unique choirs will be performing at the event:
The Indian Music Choir is made up of children ages 6-13 who practice and perform Indian music using traditional ethnic traditions. The choir is conducted by musician and educator Ujjainee Ghosh and is based in Espoo. More information: https://ismfinland.org/indian-music-lessons/#choir
The Children’s Choir “Yasni” of the Ukrainian Association in Finland was founded in August 2022 as a result of children’s vocal classes held at the Ukrainian Center of the Ukrainian Association in Finland. The choir is made up of children ages 6-16 and is conducted by Sofiia Yakovyshyna, a professional singer and vocal coach. More information: https://ukrainians.fi/en/childrens-choir-yasni/
The International Children’s Choir brings together children ages 5-12 from a wide variety of backgrounds to perform classic songs as well as new repertoire. The choir is led by Myra Owens and is based in Espoo.
