Chorea Kozacky is a phenomenon of Ukrainian culture. The musical group was founded in
2005, and its name means Cossack dance. In the history of Ukraine, the Cossacks were
Ukrainian heroes who defended the people and the country from invaders. Since the
Russian invasion of Ukraine, members of the orchestra have been supporting their country
with the music, organizing charity concerts and playing in memory of the heroes who died in
the war.
The band’s repertoire includes music of the Renaissance and Romanticism, as well as
heroic songs, which they perform on historical instruments, as well as on Ukrainian and
European string instruments.

Choreya Kozacky is coming from Ukraine to play music at charity concerts organized by the
Union of Ukrainians in Finland at Temppeliaukio Church in Helsinki and Tampere Cathedral.
Proceeds from the concert tickets will be used to purchase emergency vehicles and
ambulances for Ukraine. Come and experience a journey through time in the history of
Ukrainian music!
