More than 20 evacuees from Ukraine gathered at the Ukrainian Center in Helsinki to taste delicious meals prepared by Japanese-Finnish chef Koji Moriwaki.
“Ukrainians are currently going through difficult times, and I understand that due to emotional stress, sometimes there is simply not enough energy to cook something at home. In order to support you, I would like you to forget about your everyday worries for at least one evening and simply enjoy a delicious dinner in a friendly and warm company,” said chef Koji.
It should be noted that Koji Moriwaki works as as Finnair Kitchen’s Head chef. In the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine he repeatedly traveled to the border with Ukraine as a World Central Kitchen volunteer. Every day, Koji prepared more than 3,000 portions of borscht for Ukrainians arriving in Poland.
Thanks to the chef for the delicious dinner and organization of the event, as well as to the product sponsors Satotukku Oy, Lihatukku Harri Tamminen Oy.
