Dinner for Ukrainians by Finnair Kitchen’s Head chef Koji Moriwaki

One year since the Help Center opened its doors in Helsinki

Today, March 16, it is exactly one year since in Helsinki opened its doors the Help Center for Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes due to the war and seek safety in Finland.

The Help Center in Helsinki, Vallila was established by the Ukrainian Association in Finland by the joint effort our numerous Finnish friends.

During this extremely difficult year for all of us, the Help Center was visited 25000 times people who needed humanitarian, informational, and emotional support. We distributed over 6000 food packages and over 4000 special packages, which contained hygienic and other products. Around 1000 visitors received emotional support by trained specialists. We organized over 200 various events.  Dozens of our clients became volunteers and now proudly say “Our Center”.

We bow to you for your work, for your desire to provide help to those who need it most.

We would like to thank everyone who has been helping the Help Center’s work throughout the year. Your help is invaluable!

Glory to Ukraine! Thank you, Finland!
