Ukrainian Association in Finland is present at the World Village festival in Suvilahti, Helsinki, May 27-28, 2023.
This year, the theme of the World Village (Maailma kylässä) festival is the power of change, and its slogan is “Join! Act! Change!”.
The Association has two sales tents at the festival. The sales proceeds will be used for AMBULANCE FUNDRAISER, the operation of the Ukrainian Center and the Helsinki and Espoo Assistance Centers (helping Ukrainians who fled the war) and to support other humanitarian projects in Finland and Ukraine.
The food tent is under the gas bell. The site number of our association’s tent is F117, and there we offer the protected, world intangible cultural heritage, Ukraine’s gift to the world: borscht.
The festival offers red borscht soup cooked in field kitchens and served with sour cream and pampushka. Pampushka is a Ukrainian bun flavored with garlic oil.
In addition to borscht, at the festival we also offer other Ukrainian delicacies, such as potato vareniki and honey cake.
In the Association’s second festival tent T316 we sell shirts with blue-yellow and Slava Ukraini patterns, sweatshirts, embroidered badges and much more.
